Trey Dugger

Trey Dugger is a graduate of Ithaca College and has worked as the Band Director for several Vermont Public Schools including the Saint Johnsbury School District, Montpelier Public Schools, and U-32 Middle/High School. He is currently the Instrumental Music Director for The Fay School and independent day and boarding school for grades K-9 in Southborough Massachusetts.
 

While teaching in Vermont, Trey has been the conductor for the Northeast District Junior High Music Festival, the Northwest District I Middle School Festival, the Winooski Valley Middle School Concert Band Festival, the Champlain Valley District III High School Festival, the Winooski Valley Middle School Jazz Festival, the District I Middle School Festival, the District V High School Jazz Festival, and most recently the District II Middle School Jazz Festival.
 

Trey is also active in the musical theater community as an actor and music director. He has performed with Lyric Theater in Hairspray in the role of Seaweed J. Stubbs, and in Rent in the role of Tom Collins. He has also performed with the Unadilla Theater as Sky Masterson in Guys & Dolls. He has been the musical director for Rent with the Green Mountain Theater Group and Nine with the Stowe Theater Guild.
 

As a trombonist, pianist, percussionist, and vocalist, Trey has worked with several performing ensembles across Vermont including, The Montpelier Gospel Choir, The Chad Hollister Band, Saturn People’s Sound Collective, Apex, TURN, Renegade Groove, Dave Contois School of Music Band, and The Big Bang Bhangra Brass Band. Currently, Trey works as a singer for Soho under Nightshift Entertainment and Boston Common Band in Boston, MA.
 

As a composer, Trey has an MFA degree from the Vermont College of Fine Arts in Music Composition. Some of his works for Jazz Ensemble, String Quartet, and R&B ensembles include, “Jasper,” “Into View,” “Be Free,” and “Love Is.”
