Wedding Toast

Lily Fournier

“I started my composition with the rhythm that became my motive. Originally I wanted this piece to feel like flying, but, as the piece developed, I chose to do as more on developing my motive. After completing my piece, however, I feel like I did give the piece a feeling of flying. I chose he title Wedding Toast because of the glockenspiel and the quarter notes it plays throughout the piece. I love the melody accompanied by the piano chords, piano accompaniment, and the glockenspiel accents.”
