This is the beginning of a string quartet piece.I want part of it to be like fire and part of it like ice.
This is a beautiful piece that answers the question asked by the band Haddaway. "What is love?" The Piece This Is Love Perfectly explains the course of love. In the beginning, there is a lot of joy with the violins holding down a triplet beat. Then as you get into it more, the dark side of love reviles its self. This is represented by 16th notes on violin 1, and echoing notes on violin 2.
A Lullaby. When I listened to it the vibe was almost fairy or forest -ish.
When I had started to write this piece, I had NO idea where it was going. In the spring of 2023 I hat made another composition, planning for it to be for opus 38. When I came back to it, it was not my idea of what I had in mind.
A song about how the river sings, how the river flows alone. The song represents isolation, and also gratefulness for having beautiful things around you. At the end of the song, the river goes forward in hope, connecting to the sea around it. (The viola part is written as violin so that it's easier to write/read)
I switched baritone sax to alto sax and made the trombone easier.
My piece is about an adventure, or exploration where the surroundings are unusual. The music is also about a near discovery!
This piece is inspired by Langston Hughes' poem, Fantasy In Purple. It's about death and also a sunset. I wrote this because I was inspired by the aspect of the poem.
This peice makes me feel MIXED EMOTIONS.
