Colchester Middle School

This piece is about leaves falling in autumn. There are so many beautiful colors and I love when they swirl in the wind.

This is a piece designed for instruments that commonly do not have the melody. The instrumentation is French Horn, Trombone, Glockenspiel, and Trumpet. Originally, the Trumpet was to replace harp because harp is not an available instrument :(, but I'm considering getting rid of the part altogether. I want to create a piece that shows how instruments like these can play by themselves, not in the background of a song. The title of my piece is Lullaby for Melancholiness. A lot of the time the world can make you feel sad, or melancholy. Those feelings can really mess things up in your head, but you need to push those thoughts away. Sometimes, at night, I feel these things. But I made this song to help me remember to relax, or calm myself down and that things will turn out ok. I hope it can help you destress too!

This song has a long story, but I'll give you a quick rundown. 

There's a young boy, (13ish) who has delusions about this person in his head. He falls in love with this fake person, and then the fake person dies and this is his mourning song.

Mostly accurate story, actually.
