One Thousand Rays, No. 1

Composer Name
Eleanor Freebern
Description

One Thousand Rays, No. 1” is the first piece in a planned series inspired by mobula rays, a species found worldwide in tropical and warm, temperate seas. The piece utilizes long phrases, exchanging melodic weight with the same movement and flow as ocean currents. As you listen, picture both the motion and energy found in a swarm of rays, and the crystal clarity of sun rays reaching down through the ocean surface.
