My CMM project is unnamed that is intended as movement one of a three movement flute duet. I'd like to find ways to expand the melodic material and morph it into something new and then come back to the original melody. I have been using inspiration from Julie Giroux, but I'd like to mimic Nicole Chamberlin's style of flute duets later on, including the use of extended techniques. Again, I'm having a difficult time moving away from the preexisting melody and writing my own melodies. I also am not the best at harmonizing with the melody, so I need help with that as well.
