Composer Name:
Craig Rettew
Description:
An Irish folk song written by Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738). Though many slight alterations are made in various recordings, this song is performed traditionally on harp. Other recordings have fiddle, recorder, or guitar. I have loosely based this transcription on the penny whistle melody at the beginning of the recording by Ensemble Galilei (omitting the gracenotes and flourishes).
