Resonance

Wayne Alexander

Grade 6, Glover Community School VT

"At first, I had named this song Re Dorian Tune because my teacher and I discovered that it is not in the key of C, like it looks like in the key signature, but in the mode of Re Dorian. I have changed the title to Resonance, which means loud, deep, and reverberating. I think that that title suits it. I really like string instruments such as viola, violin, bass, and cello, and I chose them to create that resonant sound. I really like the sound of the high flute sound emerging from the very low strings. During composing my song, I added a new part in the middle of my piece to vary a bit from the repetition."
